Payment & Financing

Insurance and Payment Options

At River City Recovery, we believe that access to high-quality treatment shouldn’t be limited by financial confusion. We’ve built our admissions and billing process around transparency, clarity, and support, because the decision to get help is already hard enough.

Whether you’re using private insurance, exploring self-pay, or trying to understand what your options even are, our team is here to guide you every step of the way.

We Accept Most Major Insurance Plans

River City Recovery works with a wide range of commercial insurance providers. While specific coverage can vary based on your plan, our admissions and billing team will walk you through exactly what’s included and what to expect in terms of out-of-pocket costs.

Please note: We are not currently in-network with Medicaid or Medicare, but we are happy to assist with referrals to programs that are.

How Insurance Verification Works

When you call or submit an inquiry, we can initiate a no-obligation insurance verification within hours. This involves:

  • Contacting your insurer directly
  • Confirming behavioral health benefits
  • Understanding any deductibles, copays, or out-of-pocket maximums
  • Clarifying preauthorization or referral requirements
  • Providing a summary of what is and isn’t covered

You’ll receive a clear explanation of your financial responsibility before starting treatment, so you can make informed decisions with no surprises.

We believe in radical transparency. You will never be billed for services you didn’t agree to, and you’ll always have the ability to ask questions or dispute anything unclear.

Private Pay and Out-of-Network Options

If you are uninsured, out-of-network, or prefer not to use insurance, we offer competitive private pay rates and payment plan options. Many clients choose self-pay for:

  • Greater privacy
  • Flexible documentation for legal or employment needs
  • Simpler access without navigating insurance bureaucracy

Our admissions team will provide a written breakdown of all private pay fees and discuss payment structures that can support your budget and timeline. In some cases, hybrid models (e.g., using insurance for certain services and paying cash for others) may be available.

Documentation for Legal or Employer Needs

If your participation in treatment is connected to a legal requirement, employer assistance program, or professional licensing board, we can:

  • Provide proof of enrollment and weekly attendance reports
  • Offer drug testing documentation
  • Coordinate with external systems (with written consent)
  • Deliver itemized billing or summaries for reimbursement or compliance

Our billing and administrative team is experienced in handling these requests professionally and confidentially.

Billing Support Throughout Treatment

We don’t just verify your insurance and disappear. Throughout your time with us, we continue to:

  • Track your insurance usage and remaining coverage
  • Provide billing statements and receipts
  • Submit claims and follow up on delays
  • Answer questions about invoices or changes in care

If something changes with your insurance (job change, lapse in coverage, etc.), we’ll work with you immediately to update your plan and avoid treatment disruption.

We Work With You, Not Against You

Too often, people delay treatment because they’re afraid of the cost or unsure how to navigate insurance. At River City Recovery, we believe that finances should never be a barrier to care, or a source of shame.

Our promise:

  • No surprise bills
  • No pushy tactics
  • Just honest answers and a clear path forward

If you’re ready to begin but unsure how to pay for it, let us help you figure it out. Recovery is too important to wait.
