Taking the first step toward treatment can feel overwhelming, but at River City Recovery, we’ve made the admissions process as simple, transparent, and supportive as possible. Whether you’re reaching out for yourself or a loved one, our goal is to remove the guesswork and provide a clear path forward from the very first call.
We know how much courage it takes to ask for help. That’s why our admissions process is designed to feel like a conversation, not a transaction. From the first contact, you’ll be treated with respect, empathy, and professionalism by people who understand what you’re going through.
Getting started begins with a phone call, email, or online inquiry. Our admissions team is available to:
There’s no commitment required to call us. Sometimes people just need to talk to someone who understands the process. We’re here for that too.
If our program seems like a potential fit, we’ll schedule a brief pre-screen, a structured conversation to gather clinical, medical, and logistical information. This helps us determine:
If the pre-screen is clinically appropriate, we’ll follow up with a comprehensive intake assessment, usually conducted by one of our licensed clinicians. This interview covers substance use history, mental health symptoms, prior treatment experiences, risk factors, and treatment goals.
We accept most major insurance plans and offer private pay options for those without coverage. Once we have your insurance information, our team will:
We believe financial transparency is critical. You’ll never be surprised by hidden fees or unclear billing practices. If your insurance doesn’t cover treatment, we’ll discuss self-pay options and, if needed, refer you to programs within your financial reach.
Once clinically approved and financially cleared, we’ll schedule an admission date, often within 24–72 hours depending on availability and urgency.
On admission day, you’ll receive:
You’ll leave your first day with a clear understanding of how the program works, what to expect, and what your first week will look like. You won’t be left to figure it out on your own.
If we determine during the screening or assessment that our program isn’t the right level of care, or if you need services we don’t provide, we won’t leave you hanging. Our team will:
We care more about helping you find the right treatment than just bringing people in the door.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to call us. You don’t need to be ready to commit. You just need to be willing to talk. From there, we’ll help guide you forward clearly, respectfully, and without pressure.
At River City Recovery, we make getting help easier. Because asking for it is already hard enough.
